Before the day begins I want you to stop… take a moment.

Before it gets crazy.

Before your last-minute run to the store.

Before you start the oven, mashing the potatoes or bake your first pie. 

Before you take your first bite of stuffing, sweet potatoes or homemade rolls.

Before your family and friends arrive or you leave the house.

Before you get distracted.

Before you forget.

And…

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!

Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles.

the sun to rule the day,

He remembered us in our weakness.

He saved us from our enemies.

He gives food to every living thing.

Give thanks to the God of heaven.
