Who would have imagined that this is where we would be right now? The country all but closed down, everyone quarantined, schools suspended, and churches moving to online services.
This would have been inconceivable just a few short months ago. Not one person is where they thought they would be right now. Do you know why? Change!
Change is impossible to foresee in all of its glory. Sometimes it’s like a lurking ninja or boogieman hiding in the shadows waiting to pounce and causing us great fear and anxiety.
Other times it’s like a surprise engagement or a visit from a close friend we’ve wanted to see filling us with joy, encouragement, and hope for the future.
The tricky part is we rarely know when it’s going to come, how it’s going to go, or if it’s going to be good or bad. But the one thing we all know is that change is coming.
It really is one of the most exciting and scariest parts of our future. That’s because it’s always full of surprises.
Our problem is that we often only remember the negative changes in our life. This can cloud our minds and give us a pessimistic outlook on life, which is never good.
Even with all the changes we are facing right now, I believe it would be better to start facing it with a God-sized imagination, which is full of optimism.
One that says, “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him,” but I’m ready for it! (1 Corinthians 2:9)
Just take a moment and imagine the God-sized possibilities for your life.
God is not quarantined by COVID, he doesn’t have to wear a face mask, and he certainly doesn’t jive with social distancing. He actually wants to be personally and intimately involved in every change in your life.
In fact, the changes he wants in your life are beyond anything you’ve ever heard, anything you have ever seen and beyond your wildest imagination. So don’t let whatever negative change you’re facing right now limit your faith. God has, is, and will continue to do great things in your life. This is just the beginning.

Now can you imagine the change?
